MSRT - after download, then what?

In the latest Microsoft Patch Tuesday bundle, it includes the latest Microsoft Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool v2.6.

I suspect once this is downloaded and installed, most people will have no clue what happens next.

A few questions that arises are:
1/ What is the result of the scan? Did it find any malicious malware?
2/ What files or which directories did the default MRT.exe scanned? And how long it took?
3/ Is the default setting comprehensive enough to scan and detect all the files?

Therefore, I did a screen capture and posted below to answer some of the questions above.

In the default setting, it takes only approximately 2 minutes to complete the scan. And the result can be gotten from C:\Windows\Debug\mrt.log

I would advise to run MRT.exe file manually with the swith /F, for a force full scan if this has not been done for awhile.

Better be safe than sorry, as I am writing this blog, the full scan is still running after 22 minutes.
